A winter wedding in Milwaukee is an easy recipe for beautiful photos!

While I am a wedding photographer located in the Green Bay area, I have shot weddings all around Wisconsin. However, Quinn and Christian’s was actually my first ever wedding that I’ve shot in Milwaukee. While I’m not much of a big city guy myself, nobody can deny that Milwaukee is a beautiful city with some great spots for a wedding shoot!

The Preparations

Capturing the morning preparations is a breeze when you work with a couple as great as Christian and Quinn, not to mention their amazing wedding parties!

The First Look

Christian and Quinn had their first look at Frame Park in Milwaukee, which is right on the Fox River and has some beautiful scenery, especially in the winter!

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. This was a gorgeous venue, and was also very accommodating to the wedding parties with separate rooms for them to hang out in before the ceremony, as well as drinks and snacks provided!

The Photoshoot

For the photoshoot we went to the Daniel W. Hoan Memorial Bridge, right on the shore Lake Michigan. At this point the sun had just about set, giving us some beautiful blue hour lighting.

The Reception

The reception was at Anodyne Coffee Roasting. This is a refurbished warehouse space with exposed brick, wooden beams, and natural wood tables. The staff here were very helpful, and the space itself very photogenic!

All in all, I had a wonderful time shooting my first Milwaukee wedding, and I can’t wait to shoot more in the future!
